Thanks so much this is a big help! I couldn't find anything on it anywhere and I thought I would have to play it safe and go with 70cm. So I guess my only worry will be shoes, but that's ok at least he wont have to be naked.

OK, I know that some time back I had said that I received a muscle body to use with my Crobidoll Head and I said I would post an update on the body issue RECAP: The legs on the body were a disaster and I had to send them back – more specifically the knee joints. Leeke was great and sent another set (top and bottom of legs) and two packs of elastic.

Well, I finally finished sanding the body (and let me tell you, it needed it!) and I finally got him put back together with the new set of legs. Conclusion – the knee joints are just super poorly constructed L While the body is absolutely aesthetically appealing, the construction of it is just bad. The knees do not fit together well and there is too much gaping where the upper leg meets the hips making the body super floppy regardless of restringing.

Also, the hands and the feet do not have S-hooks – the elastic is looped through them. This means that if you needed to take the feet off (for ultra tight pants) the whole body would need to be restrung. Same if you wanted to change out the hands. Be forewarned that the hand are attached via magnet to the ball-joint so they have a tendency to come off if you try to reposition the them.

To fix the issues, I ended up using YOSD size s-hooks for the hands and feet and I ended up hot gluing the knees and hip joints so they don’t move around as much as they tend to do. After this little bit of surgery, they body is pretty sturdy. However, the knees are still weird and look even weirder if you put the legs in a sitting position.

    There you have it J

Do you have some pictures? I'm interested in seeing the gap you mentioned. D: It's a pity, because I'd been considering this body for one of my floating heads...

Let me get some pics up tonight or tomorrow. The body is lovely, don't get me wrong. If you can deal with a little surgery to get the legs to stand correctly it looks amazing (very sexy).

    Hello I'm new here! ^^
Has somebody ordered Jereme or Joshua yet?
I kinda fell in love with the heads of the boys and might consider getting them. ♥
What bodies would work for hybrids? (Preferably smaller than 65cm and not from Leeke company XD)
Like Spiritdoll SD/ Angel of dream SD/ Impldoll 65cm ?
I'm kinda pumped now ooo I so love SD boys! *~*

I got my eyes on Jereme as well, can't find any owner pictures anywhere though which make me a bit nervous. ^^'
Does anyone know if Leeke Snow skin would match Dollzone's white skin?

I won a charity raffle at DollNorth last weekend and am now the owner of a fullset Leeke Limited Edition Khal Vampire. He's a gorgeous doll but....

His hands are driving me freaking nuts!

They tend to fall off at the slightest provocation. They are magnetic and appear to have some sort of twist-lock mechanism but that doesn't really seem to be very effective as when I go to turn his hands to position them, they pop right off. I've also got some concerns that my always needing the grasp the hands firmly will wear off the wonderful blushing that Leeke did far sooner than I'd like.

How have people dealt with this? The outfit he came with requires me to take his hands off to get the jacket on/off and the ball part of the wrist has a bit of elastic through the main arm elastic and the resin loop of the wrist ball. Would swapping out that bit of elastic for an S-hook and gluing the hand to the ball solve this or is there another solution out there?

Does anyone have a Dollshe Pure body they can try a Leek L head on?? I'm debating grabbing one, but would like to know if it would look ok on that body...

Leeke's snow skin is paler with a touch of pink. Dollzone white skin is definitely more yellow.

I got Khal last year and the hands have never come off - if it hadn't been mentioned that they were meant to be magnetic I would never have known. Took a bit of effort but I got them off.

He wears 70 cm pants and boots no problems. In fact I bought a pair of boots and pants for Souldoll Glaive but they wouldn't fit him. They were a perfect fit on Khal.

Really? Huh. Its funny as it looks like the twist-lock should work as the channels are clear and not shallow, but they don't hold for anything. Maybe the one I got has them too wide so they slide too freely.

Good to know about the pants though. Does he wear 70cm shoes as well?

Well the boots should wear the same as for shoes. I got them from ebay or Alice Collections but here is the link for Alice Collections so you can compare http://www.alicescollections.com/bt3...tml?cPath=1_20

Just an FYI for anybody with the muscle body wanting to switch out the flying hands o'doom... the DZ armour hands made for DZ 70/72cm boys fits great in the wrist socket and the overall hand size is pretty much in line with the default Leeke hands. I would guess that DZ's other 70/72cm hands would work as well in the muscle body wrist socket.

Yeah, his default hands really are that big.

I cannot speak for any kind of resin match between DZ/Leeke (DZ NY to Leeke ???) as that wasn't a consideration for me since I knew I'd be heavily blushing the armour hands to get them the shade of purple/blue I need. If I wasn't so daunted by the idea of re-stringing them, I'd base dye the hands.

My Kyou head came today (Pretty fast Leekeworld! Go you!!). Damn is he huge. HUGE. He looks bobble on the Dollshe body I put him on. It might be ok with a wig, but I have no idea since I don't own a wig that will fit him D: I have this fabulous Dollmore wig that I love that I figured would fit him since it's too big for the majority of my dolls. I can't even get it on him, it pops off his head! With a wig cap it won't go on at all!
I've never had a doll who actually needed a 9/10 before...

Hmm apparently Leekeworld changed their resin color lately. I just bought a spare Wien head in case my doll ever breaks (God forbid!). And it turned out to be MUCH more pink than the one I bought last year (my doll was bought July of last year and it's a nice yellow). Ugh.. I may have to sell it or buy a new body for it but it won't work as a replacement head unless I do some heavy blushing to his head...
    What if I say please?

Guess I can join this thread now 'cause my Leeke Khal, Wren, (on a Real Body) arrived today!
He's gorgeous (although currently blank) but I've had a little trouble with his stringing...

You see, I went to take his head off but couldn't as the elastic knot was too thick to fit through his neck hole.
I loosened the knot a little (it looked to be double tied) and, as I was taking his head off, the elastic slipped off the S-hook and fell through his torso.
After much struggling and weird tool improvisations, my Mum and I managed to get the elastic back up through his torso again but I'm kind of stuck as to how to proceed (bear in mind I've still yet to re-string a doll!)
Basically, if I tie the elastic onto the S-hook (the way all of my others dolls are strung) it's too thick to fit through the hole but if I don't tie it, it obviously just slips off the S-hook again.
It's almost as though the elastic used is just too thick...? I have some spare elastic that I got with one of my MSDs (which is way thinner) but I'm kind of loathe to try him with that as it would involve totally re-stringing him and I'm not sure it would even work...

Anyway. Sorry to barge in like this but I hope someone can help! D:

    Sofay>> I'm a little confused by what you mean. Do you think you could take a photo of the knot and neck hole? I have a Leeke Dark Rihael, but I've restrung him so many times and taken him apart so many times that I can't really remember how he came to me anymore. ^^;;

I too agree that photos would help us help you in this situation. It's always hard to imagine how dolls are strung since there's so many different ways you can string a doll.

But I absolutely would not re-string him with MSD string. He would be way too floppy. My YID Louis from Iplehouse was sent with string suited for an MSD, and his head would just randomly fall off because the string tension was way too thin and loose. He was the definition of "Raggedy Andy" in terms of floppiness! Poor boy couldn't even sit up straight!

But for future reference, generally when you want to remove a head, all you have to do is get a pair of needle-nose pliers, grab the s-hook, pull upwards, and twist it so the S-hook no longer sits in the grooves of the head. That way there is no need to fiddle with the elastic looped onto the S-hook.

I am not an expert, but my understanding is that thick string is good, because the better it fills in the holes in the doll's pieces, the better it will hold a pose.

Was the knot originally in the head or in the torso? It should be in the torso, so it doesn't get in the way. PinkPlushii is right, you shouldn't need to untie the strings to take the head off.
