I have suspected this was the case with several of their dolls. You should defianantly PM this to the mods. They don't allow pirated dolls on this board, and would ban their discussion here, something that would at the very least affect the sales of a pirated dolls.

Leroi, did you personally sculpt Wujee? Or did a sculptor who works for you make her? Just trying to establish which dolls were sculpted by whom, so that we have all the information.

This is a serious accusation and will be pursued immediately.

Dear all,Thank you for all your help.

I am so awfully sorry that this has occurred.

The pirate copy whole mythdoll and wishel at first, and change details (some thing like cut the waist joint , add the knee joint etc.)again and again because of lack of public support.That's why the bobobie doll look different from mythdoll now.And that's why bobobie doll have all types of BJD but nobody knows before.
The pirate will not give up the copy, They did this since June 2006 on the mainland of China.
The sale of pirate doll has been banned in china, but now they are trying to sell it in DOA.

I really hope all of this gets sorted out.
Its a shame that anyone would copy doll molds.
The Wujee is a very pretty doll and shouldnt be pirated and taken from its sculpter.

People should really be more critical and careful with new companies like...
boo...bobobie. (unprofessional behavior and the pictures where a BIG give away)

People get a little too exited and buy anything. If you have the money great but be careful who you are supporting.

There has to be a way to screen companies before they start selling on DOA.
They can't just pop out of no where and sale us garbage.

BoBobie started their hype before the new requirements at the Marketplace. Still, I don't see how it's DoA job to pre-qualify everyone and I could honestly see where it would hurt/hinder potential doll makers.

Whats that old saying, 'Innocent until proven guilty'. Bad people are out there, but there are a lot more good people than bad. All we can do is be aware, and respond to theft when the proper evidence is presented.

Bobobie would keep silent and leave moderators to judge. Bobobie would not in any way be improper. But it has to say something.

Bobobie never pirates any doll. All dolls are created by Bobobie artists. Bobobie has her own unique character: sweet, big eyes, movable waist, and some other new innovations. We have our capacity to create, there is no need to pirate. And you will find more new innovation and new dolls in the days to come. If we say Mythdoll copied VOLKS, DOD or LATI, how is it to explain itself?

Bobobie would like to cooperate with DOA moderators for a JUDGE.

If you say that Mythdoll copied other doll companies, then I say you're just trying to distract others from your own wrong doing.

Your company doesn't even take enough pride in you dolls to photograph them professionally; it looks as if you really don't care how they look. I guess you realized that no matter what the dolls look like, if they are cheap enough, someone will take that opportunity.

It's interesting that you and Dennis wrote the exact same thing in both related threads.

And why should DOA members trust you instead of Leroi? She has managed her own business and has had many satisfied customers, while Bobobie mysteriously sold out of Sweet as soon as the similarities of her and Wujee were pointed out. Not only sold out, but took orders from DOA members that they canceled due to this "first customer".

I have been following this thread carefully as I just recently purchased a Wishel secondhand that I am absolutely in love with. After having received my little tiny baby I was more than dismayed to see that the Bobobie Erin looks almost identical to her. It is as if my baby had a frown instead of a smile and suddenly had her torso cut in half. I don't like to scream piracy in pretty much ANY case, but unfortunately the resemblances are a bit too much for me. I have done a comparison photo for those who would like to, can view. I think the photo speaks for itself but I am not always sure in these cases. I leave it up to others to be the judge.

I think the eye, head and lip shape a different. They look similar and maybe they could share an original mould but maybe not...difficult to tell

The Bobobie pictures aren't very clear so it's kinda hard to tell...

Could you possible take a photo of your Wishel from a similar angle as a photo of Erin? That would be more revealing.

That's why I said 'a similar angle'. Sorry if I was unclear.

I think your comparison photo will be really useful. You can definately see the similarity in it. The face is very similar indeed.
