    Sometime ago, I saw a thread for "80s Style Shirts and Custom Buttons" (linked above) I waited a bit to actually contact the seller because I wanted to see if she could make my request. I was so happy to see that she will be
    able to since she posted a shirt with a "Han Solo" design before. I emailed her on 10.17.06 placing and order for a SD13 white shirt with "Han Solo" design and emailed her pictures for my two free buttons. I promtly payed her on the 10.18.06. The last email that I received from her was on 10.27.06:

    "You know, I did ship them all, and the postal worker
    screwed up, so I'll be shipping them out priority
    whether you paid for it or not... and most likely refunding everyone the costs of shipping... my local
    postal office *really* sucks.

    sorry about that!"

    I was happy to hear from her and got excited again about my order.
    But, my order never came... I emailed her 10.27.06, 11.03.06 and my
    last email was on 11.30.06 and no response.

    Now, I'm aware that there was an update from Amy on the sales thread
    stating that she did not have computer access anywhere but that she
    was going to get everything sorted out. That update was 11.08.06. I
    kept bumping the thread hoping for good news..? Then with some advice
    here at DoA and at home I contacted Amy asking her for help. She gladly contacted the seller over the phone.

    After that, there was another update on 11.29.06 stating that the seller was going to meet Amy on friday(to my understanding 12.01.06) so she could get
    addresses and everything she needed to mail the orders... I don't know
    what to think anymore... If she does not have net access... and If she
    did send them before and got them back from the post office, doesn't
    she have the addresses already? on the envelopes?

    It's been almost two months and nothing. I'm a very patient person and
    I understand things happen, life happens... problems... But at the
    same time I believe the seller has a responsibility to let me know
    what's going on, so I don't go about assuming... needless to say I'm
    not really happy about this transaction at all.

    If nothing happens in the next week I will try to get my money back
    through paypal...

    With all that said, I'm very disappointed.

    I had a pm today from Amy because I asked her to please help me get in touch with the seller. This is the pm I received Today, 12.08.06 - 02:58 PM :

    Hi,
    This is Heather. I simply don't have the time to go to those pay places, I work all day long and can't get to them before they close.
    Mainly though, I had an emergency surgery and again with the lack of internet it has made things very difficult.

    I apologize for the inconvenience, and I will work on getting you your refund as soon as I have internet connection at my place, hopefully Saturday.

    I apologize. Sorry for your disappointment, but if you'd asked around you would have seen that I'm a trustworthy seller and this really is a fluke, so you shouldn't worry.

    You'll get your money back.

    I wan to let everyone know that I never thought of this seller as being a scammer in any way. I was just disappointed in how much the seller ignore me all along. I said many times that IF I knew what was going on I was happy to wait for whatever time because I DO know this seller is very well known around the board(that is why I went ahead and bought from her) where as I am not...

    I lurk and buy/sell from time to time. Also, before I even contacted Amy for help or made the feedback thread, I asked around for advice on the board and at my own home. Either way even if I asked around or not.. has nothing to do when I should have received my order or refund... IF the seller does not tell me what emergencies come up I have no way of knowing.

    Now I'm glad that Amy did the favor and contacted her about my order. I do hope I will get my money back as she stated. Still I'm disappointed like I've said any seller has a responsibility to the customer when they have payed them up front and promtly.

    I will update whenever I get my refund.

    12.12.06 - I'll get a refund soon this week.

    Me too.

    I've sold to her before and she's always paid very promptly, so I wonder if something didn't just happen to catch her off guard? Either way, I'll prolly file with PP too. $10 is still money :P

Amy posted she was going to do that friday dec 1st so she could get all the information from her emails. But, there was no update that friday either.

    I hope she does contact her again... let's see what happens.

    I started a dispute (?) on PP, just to get in before any deadlines... if we don't hear anything in a week or so, I'll escalate to a claim, I guess.

    I'm also in this transaction. I'm not terribly upset over the loss of this money, it'd just be nice to have what I paid for considering they were readymade.

    I payed her 10.18.06, paypal said they can't do anything about it... to just contact the seller.

    Yes... it's 45 days limit to get money back from paypal. I would love for her to give an update, I've tried and tried to get an update after waiting for so long... I'm not upset but disappointed of being ignored. If she made any type of update I think we all be still ok with waiting for our orders. Regardless of whatever circumstances, I believe any seller should be responsible, that's all.

    That's very true. I'm just dissapointed Amy didn't respond after she said she was coming over.

    I apologize for the delay.

    Everyone will be receiving a refund shortly.

    I'm very sorry to everyone who was caused stress by this event.
    I have always been an excellent seller. I have sold much more expensive items repeatedly and have never had a problem... and I suppose it was this fact, combined with the fact that I'm usually very regularly on DoA... and hadn't been on in quite some time that might alert you to the fact that something was very wrong for me on a personal level.

    I understand that it's not as great as having the product in hand, but I always reply to buyers when I am capable of doing so.

    On this note, I would also like to mention that Amy was doing a huge favor to me in trying to let you guys know I hadn't forgotten you. It was in no way her responibility to take over this order, in fact, she couldn't have. She stopped replying to the thread because she recieved some rather mean, accusatory PMs from people that stressed her out and I told her not to deal with it anymore.

    She is a nice person who was trying to do a nice thing. Please try to remember that when you send off your PMs.

    As mentioned above, everyone will be getting a refund shortly (as in, withing the week). This was truly a fluke in my life and you can ask any great number of buyers and sellers that I am prompt with replies when doing a transaction... assuming I can get to a computer... the post office, or anywhere for that matter.

    Ok, I've refunded krambear, muffin573, AerynAerie, Hat-chan and Shadowlink... as far as I know that's everyone... but let me know if I've missed someone.
