1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Help! Mini Fee Leg Cracks! *pics* New pic added on page 2

Nov 26, 2006

    1. maybe they look up the batch your doll is from and send replacement parts? who knows I suppose you could just ask how much it would cost to fix?

    2. I recently purchased a Delf from luts and within a week of receiving him one ankle cracked and chipped badly. They are replacing the part for me, but I had to mail it back to Korea for exchange and colour-matching. Apparently three months is the cutoff for their warranty. They'll probably have you return the damaged parts and pay a small fee for replacement. I think several companies have similar services.

    3. Hopefully tomorrow I will get a reply from Luts on the price of the replacement. If not, I will probably e-mail them, because this is what his worse leg looks like now:
      [IMG]

      The one that wasn't as bad is now about where this one started. I tried putting glue in, but it doesn't look promising. I'll know by tomorrow if it spreads if it is futile, because the cracks are no longer hairline. They are actual spreads in the resin.

      I thank everyone for their support... Riku has made a photostory to thank all of you, as well. I am probably going to be making things to sell to raise money for his new legs, if anybody has some suggestions...

    4. Demiurge had an interesting theory as to what could have caused it- hot glue IS heat sensitive, and as someone mentioned we have been having weird weather, and the glue could have shrunk/expanded and taken the resin along for the ride so to speak. Maybe you could have already guessed that though :sweat

    5. Acctually, I didn't think of it that way... o.o That really seems to make sense, though... :...( It was neat having Riku stand on one foot, but I don't think I am going to be trying hot glue on him again. Maybe CP resin just doesn't react well with it... *sigh*

      I unwrapped his bandages today and sure enough they are bigger, although the increase isn't as great as it has been.

      Still no word from Luts... I e-mailed them, so hopefully soon. I'll keep everyone posted.

    6. I just got a reply from Luts last night.

      Legs = $45 and Shipping = $24 so it will cost $69 for Riku's new legs.

      Why did it decide to happen around Christmas... :...( My credit card is going to take a beating, but I am going to order his legs with my next paycheck...

    7. I'm glad you got them to provide replacements even if it was expensive! Yay for a fixed Riku ;)

    8. Awwww! *hugs Kyrie* But... at least he'll have his little legs back! And the poor thing won't have to be bandaged and all ;_;

      I hope everything goes fine, it is a hard time to pay for things, especially the ones that are unexpected ;_;

      *gives chocolates and cookies to Kyrie and Riku*

    9. Well, I think I have figured out a way to raise money for Riku! Garage sale! XD I just need people's help to tell me if these are way over priced or not... o.o

      Riku's Repair Fund Sale Thread!

    10. 45 dollars for a new leg? you gotta be kidding >.> i pray noneof my dolls ever break... pft. ::hugs kyrie::

    11. XD Well, $45 for two new legs, but yeah... XD Well, keep in mind that a Mini Fee body is, I believe, $294... x.x

    12. Awwww! I'm so sorry about Riku! :( He's such a sweet boy and it's so painful to watch him have broken legs- I hope Luts sends the replacements asap once you ordered them!

      Meanwhile, maybe someone who's going to make a Luts order to include the legs so you can save on shipping?

    13. PM'd you, deary.

    14. Good luck with everything *isn't keeping to updated* my AR girl has the inside of her legs mauled by the hook ;_; i'm sure it's gonna break soon. there are tons of little teeth marks all over where it connects to her foot...

    15. Lordy, I hope the best for Riku and you. But at least he will be able to start off the new year on a fresh...leg? -_-;

      Hope things get better!

    16. Oh wow! I feel sorry for poor Riku. I hope you get him fixed soon!

    17. I hope this isn't a common occurence with MNF dolls, since I've been considering getting one! ;_; But at least you weren't forced to buy a whole new body.
