It has become clear that the Marketplace - Accessories subforum has become an unwieldy junkpile of dollar store plush, keychains, and Tupperware masquarading as furniture. This needs to stop.

We will be locking the current Marketplace - Accessories subforum and creating a new one where people may restart their threads. After 7/10, we will delete the original subforum and just use the new one.

Each seller can have one thread utilizing each of the 5 newly added prefixes - Jewelry, Props, Furniture, Doll Care, and Books. Each thread must be kept tidy and follow the rules in this thread. Please pay special attention to the items that we will no longer allow to be sold here.

Crap-reduction and correct use of prefixes should help members to more easily buy and sell items. For example, by clicking the prefix "Jewelry", members can view a list of threads only selling jewelry. Using a combination of tags and keywords in the Advanced search, it will be much easier to find high-quality, doll-scaled items.

We will also be adding the Jewelry, Props, and Furniture Prefixes to the Commissionable Artists - Accessories subforum.

Some sellers keep extensive lists of every item that they have ever sold within their threads. This makes it very hard for other members to successfully use the search in those subforums to find currently available items.

Going forward, sellers are not to keep these lists within their threads. It is appropriate to keep sold item information posted temporarily, but it must be removed after the item has been received by the new owner.

Sold items must also be removed from thread titles, as this constitutes keyword spam.

After July 1st, if you see users with sold lists, please use the report feature to alert a moderator or tag the thread with "sold list."

We are bringing back the tagging feature in two specific subforums - Marketplace - Eyes and Wigs and Marketplace - Clothes and Shoes. In these subforums, sellers can tag their thread with the genre of items that they are selling. Buyers can tag WTB threads with the genre of items that they are seeking.

For example, if I am selling a 14mm pair of green Everpurple eyes, I can tag my thread with "14mm green eyes" and "urethane." People looking for 14mm green eyes can find my thread by searching using the tag "14mm green eyes." People specifically looking for Everpurple eyes can just enter "Everpurple" in the normal search.

Members cannot create their own tags; you will only be able to use the tags that the moderators have created. To apply a tag, you must simply start typing the keyword in the tag field at the bottom of the post or thread - after a few letters, it will suggest tags that fit what you are writing. Separate tags with commas.

A list of all current tags can be found here. At this point, the tags are generic and non-brand specific. This is intentional. If there is a tag that you feel would be helpful, please reply to the tag list thread with your suggestion.

We will hopefully be finding a plugin that will allow you to just tick boxes to choose tags, but have not found one yet.

After an item is sold, that tag must be removed. If you see threads with inaccurate tags, please report them to a moderator using the report feature or tag the thread with "tag spam."
